   1 - Using Lists (Running Time: 12:21)
This lesson will introduce you to using Lists, which is a new feature in Microsoft Excel 2003. After an explanation of what lists are, you will see some of the new features that are available to you through this hands-on demonstration.

   2 - Introduction to the Visual Basic Editor (Running Time: 7:26)

This lesson will introduce the visual basic editor in Microsoft excel 2003. The editor allows you to create, view or edit code. This lesson will show some of the high-level features of the editor and start you along the path of advanced programming with excel!

   3 - Using Smart Tags (Running Time: 11:29)

Smart tags identify an action that can be performed on data you enter in a cell in your worksheet. This lesson will look at some of the built in smart tags in excel and I’ll also explore some scenarios where you can take advantage of this exciting feature!

   4 - Using XML (Running Time: 20:00)

This lesson will explore the relationship between xml maps and xml schemas inside of Microsoft Excel 2003. I will also discuss a couple of ways to introduce xml data into your worksheet and end with an examination of the new Microsoft xml source pane. **Reminder—the topics discussed in this video are only available to users of Microsoft Excel 2003 professional edition or higher.

   5 - Custom Functions (Running Time: 11:12)

In this lesson you'll see how to use the visual basic editor to define and use your own functions and see a working example in this video. I'll also explain some of the reasons why you might want to create your own functions in excel.

   6 - Conditional Formatting (Running Time: 8:06)

In this lesson I will show you how define a set of conditions on the worksheet and easily identify specific data on a worksheet. I will demonstrate how to set up and use conditional formatting including how to define rules and conditions that you apply to your data.

   7 - Data Tables (Running Time: 10:50)

In this lesson I will explain how to use Data Tables in your worksheets. Data Tables are part of the what-if analysis tools that you can use in your worksheets to work with frequently changing data. Data Tables allow you to modify certain variables in a formula and instantly see the effect of the data you have defined in your data table. Don’t worry if this is confusing, it won’t be after you watch the video!

   8 - Comparing Workbooks (Running Time: 7:24)

In this lesson I will show you a new way to compare worksheets with Excel 2003. I will open two worksheets at the same time and look at some of the new features offered to us by excel to make working in this environment a lot more manageable!

   9 - Using Scenarios (Running Time: 9:13)

Scenarios allow you to change values in one cell to see how the value affects other cells in your worksheet. Scenarios are saved values that can be substituted into your worksheets at any time. In this lesson I will create a scenario example and also show you how to create a report to show all your scenarios at one time on your worksheet.

   10 - Macros (Running Time: 25:12)

This lesson will discuss how to create, modify and execute macros in 2003. The lesson begins with a brief explanation of what macros are and some of the benefits of creating macros and using them effectively. This lesson will walk you through creating your own macro and show you how to use the macro in your worksheet.

   11 - Using Goal Seek (Running Time: 4:25)

In this lesson I demonstrate an example of how to use an advanced feature in Microsoft excel called goal seek. This example walks you through the fundamentals of using goal seek and shows you how you might use this advanced feature of excel.

   12 - Data Validation (Running Time: 17:54)

Data validation has been expanding in Excel 2003. Data Validation lets you Identify data during data entry to provide immediate feedback to the users of your worksheets. This lesson will provide some examples and ideas that you can use within your worksheets.
