1 - Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2003 (Running Time: 5:56)
Wondering where to start, well this is the basics. In this video John will start out explaining what MS Excel is and how it can help you in your current job and or position. He’ll further explain what a spreadsheet is and how it can help you calculate and modify data.
2 - Overview of the Environment (Running Time: 34:43)
This video methodically goes over the environment of MS Excel and gives any beginner a good foundation and understanding of all the menus. John also made sure that he explained what all the icons are within the MS Excel workspace, giving the user a good understanding of where things are and what they are. This is definitely a good road map for all beginners. Titles include but not limited to: Toolbars, Clipboard, Office Assistant and Help.

Upon entering data within a worksheet you might begin to wonder how could you make things a little less complicated and more organized. Through this video John explores how to do just that. He covers how to open existing workbooks, how to create new workbooks and how to organize workbooks to better help you, and other users of your workbooks, to better utilize your workbooks more productively.
4 - Spreadsheet Data (Running Time: 27:59)
This video starts off with showing you what exactly can be entered into a spreadsheet, by giving plenty of examples. Many people are left short handed by utilizing MS Excel at a 10 percent usage rate, by using as a word processor and or a document that can be used to make tables “easier.” Wouldn’t it be nice to know a bit more? We cover just that we will give you a touch more than just a word processor; John will show you what can be entered onto a spreadsheet. Oh yea, and are you unfamiliar with the spellchecker and how to check words that are misspellededed? Sounds easy but, in this video we will open your eyes to the capabilities of spellchecker.
5 - Formatting Data: Text (Running Time: 40:56)
Well by the time you get knee deep into this series you’re going to want to break free and impress all your friends with your new obtained knowledge of MS Excel 2003. STOP! Don’t just show them numbers and formulas… Show them those numbers with color and SPECIAL formatting. Give those tables a professional look, spruce it up. We’ll cover how to make those borders and apply formatting to your text that’s already in an existing document that you already have.
6 - Formatting Data: Editing a Spreadsheet (Running Time: 29:31)
Oh Man…That’s what my son says when he messes up on something. Watch how we can prevent those mistakes and how we can go back in time to undo many of those mistakes. In this video John will give you some shortcut keys that will assist you in quickly cutting and pasting text and data onto a spreadsheet (add extra shortcut keys). Don’t miss this you will be surprised how easy it is and how many people don’t know how to do it. And lastly in this video you will learn how to utilize the clipboard. The clipboard is widely overlooked and can be a great asset in producing and organizing documents.
7 - Formulas and Functions (Running Time: 35:08)
The meat and potatoes, that’s what we like to call this video. Like mentioned in this video this is where the rubber meets the road. You want to absorb all you can out of this video and explore new and fun ways in which you never thought possible with any Microsoft product. John spends a lot of time walking you through some formulas and how to utilize them in calculations. And don’t worry it is full of examples and you can always rewind.

Right when you thought you were done learning we go and throw the easiest video at you… You have to print, why not learn all the proper ways of printing and all the possible features that MS Excel enables you with to print documents the way you intended them to print. Don’t spend your first couple years trying to figure these out on your own. By learning these now you will be well equipped and ready for all challenges.
